-
What sort of clients do you work with then? The That Witch team works with a wide variety of patients and clients, ranging across all age groups and levels of activity and athletic ability!
-
Are athletic trainers the same as personal trainers? No, they are not the same. While both are exercise science professions and may even have some overlap when it comes to day-to-day tasks and responsibilities, the two are quite different. The main difference is that athletic trainers are healthcare professionals, while personal trainers are fitness professionals. Athletic trainers are educated on assessing, evaluating, and treating injuries and illnesses. To practice as an athletic trainer, one must first complete the higher education requirements and become board-certified and state-licensed. On the other hand, there are few regulations or requirements for personal trainers. While there are many excellent personal trainers who excel in their field and choose to further their education, this isn’t always the case, as it is not mandatory for personal trainers to continue their education or receive certification.

Do athletic trainers only work with athletes?Nope! While a majority of the patients we see are athletes, athletic trainers can be found working with patients in all kinds of environments, such as corporate, industrial, and even military settings, to name a few examples.
